Dancer / رقاصة Metalmesh Drape Necklace

Gold Dancer / رقاصة Metal Mesh Drape kerchief necklace. Handmade, crafted, and painted by Hushidar Mortezaie. The word رقاصة in arabic translates to dancer. The arabic calligraphy رقاصة is engulfed in lightning bolts and flames, embracing  the  dancer  through a golden talisman of empowerment , often looked  upon as a sinner, judged by mainstream society. This piece was apart of a collaboration with the Palestinian label Trashy Clothing.

Using his own signature technique he invented back in the 00's, Hushidar has perfected his own special process done by hand and then sealed to protect the artwork .

This is a basic triangular drape necklace , painted on both sides with flames, bolts, and the word dancer, folded from a           9 " x 9 "square of aluminum metal mesh 2 lengths of chain totaling 13.5 " with jump rings and lobster claws that attach at each corner of the triangle, going around the neck with an extension.
